oslo august 31 is the story of an addict, played by the immensely talented anders danielsen lie, who spends one day out of recovery visiting his oslo.
the film is a delicate portrayal of an individual and a generation in flux. joachim trier is a spectacular storyteller with an eye for the details of life. with minimal dialogue, he gives voice to a collective restlessness and longing.
the film opens this coming week. don't miss it! i plan to see it again.
