i was very sad to hear the news that dave doernberg passed away. we were not close but the handful of meals and nights out i shared with him were memorable. he loved food (check out his beautiful blog), and friends and making things. he was a talented designer and an all around lovely person.
i will miss bumping into him at LA noodle shops, and new york eateries and talking nonsense.
