pure joy!

the london home of james brett, founder of the museum of everything, made me squeal with joy.  Brett's house is filled with an extensive collection of art brut--a silly, archaic term, but i don't have another.  the space is bright white, a perfect blank canvas to showcase the art. everything feels textured and exciting about the it, probably because the narrative of every piece is palpable.  it's a curated series of feelings, of stories, and whimsy. i am completely smitten.

i love this wire mobile (bottom photo) by emery blagdon that hangs over the banister,

this bright yellow sculpture by vollis simpson, looking is so happy on its chair.
