Casa Barragán

Taking inspiration this month from Casa Barragán

It's a wonderfully restrained space, where simple lines and thoughtful use of light and scale create the identity of the space.

I like the contrast of the interior and the ordered green chaos outside of the large window.

I haven't visited this house, but hope to do so in the next year.

02 TRESTLE TABLE

02 TRESTLE TABLE is now available at honeyedfigs.com

This table came out of love for the simple Japanese and Shaker Trestle tables. EBJoinery makes it as a knock down trestle (no glue), with traditional Joinery (no screws). I love the detail in the joints where he uses accents of maple next to the oak.

baldwin hills bath

thank you remodelista for featuring my baldwin hills projects as bathroom of the week! I'm super happy with how it turned out.
I think my favorite  part of the project is the custom medicine cabinet I designed. There's a ton of storage behind the mirror and the wood door. And I think the built in light adds just a bit of whimsy and a lot of function.

Everything in Portland is super green and rich. The rain does some magical things! It's really inspiring and making me terribly nostalgic for Spring on the east coast.

hello back there!

oregon install

I'm visiting my Portland Tudor project and I'm super happy with how the paper turned out --I love depth and movement the transition areas have.
